Don’t tell the others – he’s not here,
He’s simply another character hidden in his white innocence,
Bounding back and forth from right and wrong,
Trying to escape from the ticking, ticking, ticking.
He must not be late, he says, and
the face of the clock looked on as the paranoid
rabbit jumped between vulnerability and wisdom,
A paradox of Wonderland. Alice didn’t know why he didn’t tell her
about the adventure she would encounter –
“But how could a rabbit be so mad?” the ordinary person speaks,
Before their minds bow down to the traditions of Wonderland.
